Clean Smile Care is our most sustainable line of toothbrushes and toothpastes. While we are always working on making all of our products more sustainable, Clean Smile Care has several unique qualities, from recycled paper packaging, toothpaste with 98% ingredients of natural origin, and bio-based bristles.

Introducing recycled plastic in our best-selling products
Since 2020, we've been adding recycled plastic into some of our best-selling lines — you'll spot it on Ultimate You and Expert White toothbrushes, our 3-in-1 flossers and Easy Clean refill heads. Getting there took time: finding the right suppliers, the right production methods, making sure quality never took a hit along the way. So you can make the more sustainable choice without giving anything up. And because we think you should be able to see what you're choosing, every product in store tells you exactly how much recycled plastic went into it.
Across our range, between 50% and 100% of the virgin plastic has been replaced with recycled — and we're always working to push that further. The recycled plastic itself is FDA-approved: food-safe, and free from anything that shouldn't go near your mouth. It comes from things like yogurt containers and margarine tubs, sourced from the refrigerated aisle. Which means what's in your oral care is just as safe as what it used to hold your lunch.

Sustainable innovations
In addition to approving our existing products we are always looking for more sustainable alternatives to oral care, such as the Jordan Change toothbrush with a replaceable head, using paper trays in store displays instead of plastic, brushes and interdental products using less plastic, and several other exciting innovations.
